The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed Human Resource Management practices in the healthcare sector. Multi-speciality hospitals have increasingly adopted Digital HR systems to manage payroll, recruitment, attendance monitoring, employee records, and performance evaluation processes. These digital platforms enhance operational efficiency, reduce paperwork, and improve data accessibility. However, along with these advantages, the digital storage and processing of sensitive employee information raise serious concerns regarding data security and privacy protection.The present study focuses on examining data security and privacy issues in Digital HR practices in multi-speciality hospitals in Coimbatore. The research adopts a descriptive research design and is based on primary data collected from 154 respondents through a structured questionnaire. Statistical tools such as Simple Percentage Analysis and Chi-Square Test were applied to analyze the data. The findings indicate that while the adoption of Digital HR systems is considerably high, hospitals face challenges such as data breaches, unauthorized access, system hacking, and internal misuse of information. The study emphasizes the need for strong cybersecurity frameworks, secure access control mechanisms, and regular employee awareness programs to safeguard confidential data. Ensuring proper data protection measures is essential for maintaining employee trust, organizational reputation, and regulatory compliance in the healthcare sector.
