The study examined the Challenges of Inconsistent Power Supply on Polytechnic Administration in North-West Geo-Political Zone, Nigeria. The study was carried out to determine how unstable electricity supply affects administrative operations, financial management, coping strategies and ways to improve power supply to the polytechnic system. The population was 2865 which consisted of all administrative staff of the polytechnics under study and the sample size was 1052. A structure questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. The data collected were analyzed using mean statistics and chi-square. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. The findings revealed that inconsistent power supply significantly delays administrative processes, disrupts the use of office equipment and ICT facilities, increases expenditure on generator fuel and maintenance, reduce staff productivity and morale and negatively affects service delivery for both staff and students. Based on the findings, the study concluded that stable and reliable power supply is essential for efficient institutional administration. The study therefore recommended that polytechnic management should invest in alternative power sources such as solar energy systems, ensure proper maintenance of electrical facilities and that government should improve national power infrastructure to support educational institutions.
