📝 Abstract
Shakespeare's Othello is a tragedy aligned on the downfall of its Protagonist black general in the Venetian army, whose life unravels due to jealousy societal prejudice, and manipulation, the paper discovers the ruin power of jealousy, as Othello's deep love for Desdemona is corrupted by Iago's cunninog, leading to tragic consequence for both Othello and Desdemona, Othello's vulnerability stems making him defenseless to Iago's plot and the racialized suspicions of venetian society the drama examines themes of love, trust deception and the existential fragility shown by powerful emotional dependence, the play language and vivid imagery reinforce these themes using comparitive analysis. At the heart of Othello's tragedy twisted in his assimilation of societal discrimination and his inability to differentiation contrast truth from manipulatiom resulting loss of love, life and honor, the play remains powerful exploration of the intersection between personal emotional and discrimination resonating with contemporary discussion of power, identity and acceptance.
